Beers, Da Bears, hot dogs without ketchup, summer days on Lake Shore, winter nights wherever it’s warm, praying for D. Rose to get healthy and stay healthy, the Cubbies and Sox breaking our hearts every year, deep dish pizza...yeah, Chicago rules.
Come out and celebrate being from the greatest city on the planet while hitting the trails. The Four Stars is a four mile trail race followed by beers, Chicago style hot dogs, music, and hanging out with good friends.
The Four Stars trail race will take place on the trails of the Paul Douglas Forest Preserve. Come tackle the beautiful single and double track course that offers some great natural obstacles. You’ll be jumping over downed trees, forging through multiple creek crossings, dodging roots and rocks, and forgetting why you ever liked running on roads. The trail is great for those new to trail running, but will also offer some challenges to the most seasoned trail nut.
All trail runners will receive a free beer*, a Four Stars tech t-shirt, a Four Stars bib, a unique, Chicago themed finisher’s prize, free Chicago style hot dog bar, along with free drinks and snacks.
We will also have a costume contest! The costumes must be Chicago-themed, so rack your brains about our beloved city and think of a great costume! Costume contest winners will be awarded richly!
The race will begin at 10am on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The start/finish area is conveniently located right off I-90 (click for exact location).
Price schedule is as follows:
$32 until July 31
$35 from August 1 to August 31
$40 from September 1 to race day
Get a team of 5 or more together and save! All season passes are active for this event.
This race will count towards both the Popes of Avignon and Plenary Indulgence challenges.
